In most cases yes, the lawyer can explain to you what a clause means on the Lawyer Live Chat, so long as the lawyer is not asked to review the whole document before they can give you the explanation.
If there are one or two clauses in those contracts that we would like to amend, can the lawyer amend them via the Lawyer Live Chat?
Amendment would usually incur a fee. That said, your lawyer may be able to suggest amendments via the Lawyer Live Chat if the clauses in question are independent from the rest of the document (e.g. a non-compete clause) and take very little time to amend. However, it's more common for a lawyer to review the whole document before amending any clauses to ensure accuracy and consistency.
